Warranty

Vito Bathroom and Kitchen will not accept warranty claims under the following conditions:

• Plumbing work has not been carried out by a licensed plumber and/or is not in compliance with the Plumbing Code of Australia AS3500 and ABCB requirements.

• Products installed by a licensed plumber but not fitted correctly.

• Products installed correctly by a licensed plumber, but later repairs, modifications, or adjustments have been carried out by an unlicensed person.

• Claims for surface defects may be declined where abrasive or harsh cleaning agents have been used.

• Claims relating to vitreous china products where dimensional variations or glazing marks are within the limits of AS1976 – Vitreous China used in Sanitary Applications. Variations of up to +/- 5mm are acceptable due to the manufacturing process. For example, where a basin meets a wall with up to a 5mm gap, caulking may be required.

• Warranty service requested outside the central Sydney area.*

Site Visits

If Vito Bathroom and Kitchen arranges a site inspection and the claim is rejected (commonly due to incorrect or unlicensed installation), a call-out fee of $120 + GST will apply, plus $70.00 per hour labour charge.

Water Damage

Some claims may involve requests for rectification of water damage caused by leaking products. Such claims require a site visit by a Vito Bathroom and Kitchen representative for assessment. In certain cases, further inspection by an insurance assessor may also be required before the claim can be finalised.

Warranty Limitations

As far as permitted under Australian Consumer Law and other applicable regulations, it is the responsibility of the installer and customer to ensure the goods are correct and free from visible defects prior to installation. Vito Bathroom and Kitchen’s liability is limited in the following cases:

• Vito Bathroom and Kitchen is not liable for poor performance, lack of function, or damage where the goods have been misused, neglected, accidentally damaged, or used in applications for which they were not intended.

• Vito Bathroom and Kitchen is not liable for labour or rectification costs in such cases. Except where specifically required by law, this warranty does not cover reimbursement or compensation for physical or financial loss, damage, inconvenience, time, or special circumstances (whether direct or indirect), nor for damages arising from improper installation, use, or natural events.

Goods Return Policy

• Outward-damage claims must be lodged within 2 days of goods receipt, and before items are delivered to the end customer.

• All goods delivered to the applicants are under the protection of retainer ship title and remain Vito Building Supplies Pty Ltd’s property until they are fully paid.

Restocking Fee on Returned Goods (in original box, after delivery):

• Within 30 days: 15% of the invoice value + freight

• 31–90 days: 30% of the invoice value + freight

• 91–180 days: 50% of the invoice value + freight

• Over 6 months: Not accepted (unless the product is deemed defective)

Additional Notes:

• Credit for goods returned is subject to approval.

• Damaged goods returned will not be credited.

• A further 10% charge applies for re-boxing goods not returned in the original box but in “as new” condition.
